Met Éireann has issued a Status Yellow thunderstorm warning for Cork, Kerry and Waterford, in effect until 7.00pm this evening.

Scattered thunderstorms are forecast, with the chance of hail. The national forecaster has warned of potential localised flooding, difficult travelling conditions, and lightning damage.

The warning was issued at 12.08pm today and remains valid until 19.00 on Saturday, 11 April 2026.
