Met Éireann has issued a Yellow High Temperature warning for ten counties, including Cork, coming into effect at 13:00 on Sunday, 12 July 2026 and remaining valid until 07:00 on Monday, 13 July 2026.
The warning, issued at 09:26 on Saturday, 11 July 2026, forecasts maximum temperatures in excess of 27°C, combined with overnight temperature minimums in excess of 15°C.
Met Éireann has identified several potential impacts associated with the conditions, including water safety issues due to increased use of lakes and beaches, uncomfortable sleeping conditions, heat stress, and the possibility of forest fires.
The warning applies to Clare, Cork, Galway, Kerry, Kilkenny, Laois, Limerick, Mayo, Offaly, and Tipperary.
