Met Éireann has issued two weather warnings for Cork and Kerry, with a Yellow Rain Warning currently active and a Yellow Wind Warning coming into effect tomorrow afternoon.

The Rain Warning, which also covers Waterford, is valid until 9pm this evening and warns of spells of heavy rain on Friday. Potential impacts include localised flooding and difficult travelling conditions.

From noon tomorrow, Saturday, 11 April 2026, a Yellow Wind Warning takes effect for Cork and Kerry until 8pm. Very strong and gusty southwesterly winds are forecast, accompanied by squally heavy showers or longer spells of rain, with a chance of hail and thunder. Potential impacts include difficult travelling conditions, spot flooding, some fallen trees and branches, and debris and loose objects displaced.
