Manor Farm Chicken Recall: Aldi, Dunnes, Lidl, Tesco Among Affected

Manor Farm is recalling 36 chicken products sold across Aldi, Dunnes Stores, Lidl, Centra, SuperValu and Tesco due to the possible presence of Salmonella. The products are of Irish origin and all carry batch code 235753, with use-by dates of 12 or 13 April 2026.

The recall is listed under Alert Notification 2026.23, and follows a separate Western Brand chicken recall issued earlier today under Alert Notification 2026.22.

Although the implicated batches are past their use-by dates, the products are suitable for home freezing. Consumers are advised to check their freezers for the implicated batches.

Recall notices will be displayed at point of sale.

People infected with Salmonella typically develop symptoms between 12 and 36 hours after infection, but this can range between 6 and 72 hours. The most common symptom is diarrhoea, which can sometimes be bloody. Other symptoms may include fever, headache and abdominal cramps. The illness usually lasts 4 to 7 days. Diarrhoea can occasionally be severe enough to require hospital admission. The elderly, infants, and those with impaired immune systems are more likely to have a severe illness.

Consumers are advised not to eat the implicated batches.
