Man Found Safe After Coast Guard Call-Out at Kennedy Quay
Crosshaven Coast Guard mobilised at 0205 this morning to reports of a man potentially having entered the water at Kennedy Quay.
Crosshaven Coast Guard was mobilised in response to reports of a man potentially having entered the water at Kennedy Quay in Cork City this morning. The person was found safe and well shortly before responders arrived on scene.
At 0205 this morning, MRSC Valentia activated the pagers of Crosshaven Coast Guard following reports of a male potentially having entered the water at Kennedy Quay.
A boat and shore teams were mobilised to the scene. Shortly before arriving, the person was found safe and well, having not entered the water.
Members of An Garda Síochána Cork spoke with the male. All other units of the emergency services, from Cork City Fire Brigade and National Ambulance Service (NAS), stood down and returned to base.
