Man Charged Following Assault in Cork City
A man in his 40s has been charged in connection with an assault at a Cork City residence on Monday.
A man in his 40s has been charged in connection with an assault that occurred at a residence in Cork City on Monday, 10th February 2025.
He is set to appear before Cork City District Court (Court No.1) this morning, Wednesday, 12th February 2025.
The incident, which took place shortly after 9:40 am on Monday, saw Gardaí respond to reports of an assault at a residential property in the city. A woman in her 20s sustained injuries during the incident, and the scene was preserved for technical examination.
Following a search operation, Gardaí arrested a man in his 40s. He was detained under Section 4 of the Criminal Justice Act, 1984, at a Garda station in the Cork City area.
Garda investigations into the matter are ongoing.
