Major Water Main Burst Disrupts Supply Across Midleton
Major water main burst affecting Midleton, Avoncore, Tir Cluain, Elsinore Rise, Broomfield areas. Repairs expected complete by 7pm today.
Uisce Éireann crews are working to repair a major burst water main in Midleton, with supply disruptions affecting customers across Midleton town and several surrounding estates. Works are expected to be completed by 7pm this evening.
The unplanned outage is impacting water supply to customers in Midleton, Avoncore, Tir Cluain, Elsinore Rise, Broomfield and surrounding areas.
Michael Bell, Uisce Éireann's Water Network Operations Manager, said:
"We understand the inconvenience of an unplanned outage, and we thank customers for their support while our works continue."
Uisce Éireann has assured customers that every effort is being made to restore water supply to impacted areas.
Following completion of repairs, it typically takes three to four hours for normal supply to restore to all affected customers. However, customers at the end of the network or on higher ground may experience longer restoration times as the system recharges.
Vulnerable customers who have registered with Uisce Éireann receive direct communications for planned and unplanned outages lasting more than four hours. Registration is available on the Vulnerable Customers page.
