Major Glanmire Road Closure Planned for Summer Works

- R639 Glanmire Road to close for seven and a half weeks as Glashaboy Flood Relief Scheme progresses
The R639 Glanmire Road will be closed for seven and a half weeks from Wednesday 25 June to facilitate works on the Glashaboy Flood Relief Scheme.
Cork City Council has announced the closure will affect the section north of its junction with Glanmire Bridge (L2999) and south of its junction with Riverstown crossroads. The road will remain closed until Sunday 17 August.
Diversions will be in place during the closure period, with road users asked to plan their journeys and follow diversional signage.
Public transport services will also be affected, with Bus Éireann routes 214, 31, and 245 impacted by the diversion. Passengers can find further details on amended services by visiting the Bus Éireann website's Service Update section at buseireann.ie/service-update.
