Cork County's small and medium-sized businesses are set to receive a boost this summer as the Local Enterprise Office brings its support roadshow directly to communities across the county, offering face-to-face guidance and grant information to local entrepreneurs.

The series of events, aptly named 'A Conversation with your LEO', will visit twelve towns throughout June and July, providing business owners with direct access to enterprise support that might otherwise require a trip to county offices. From the market towns of West Cork to the bustling centres of the east, the roadshows aim to bring vital business resources to entrepreneurs' doorsteps.

Mayor Joe Carroll said:

"The roadshow provides a valuable networking opportunity. You'll be able to connect with other business owners in your area, share experiences, and build relationships that can benefit your business in the long run. Whether you're looking to expand your operations, develop new products, or simply need some guidance on managing your finances, your LEO has resources to assist you."

The initiative, organised jointly by South Cork and Cork North & West LEOs, recognises that running a business can feel isolating, particularly for sole traders and small enterprises scattered across Cork's diverse landscape. The roadshows promise to connect business owners with both professional support and peer networks that could prove invaluable for future growth.

Moira Murrell, Chief Executive of Cork County Council, added:

"The LEO roadshows are designed to inform, connect, and empower businesses across Cork County. It is an opportunity to discover the wealth of support and grants available to help your business grow and succeed."

The roadshow schedule covers a comprehensive range of locations, ensuring broad county coverage. The tour begins on 24th June with simultaneous visits to Kanturk, Macroom, and Youghal, followed by Carrigaline, Clonakilty, and Midleton on 25th June. July continues with Skibbereen and Millstreet on 1st July, Cobh and Mitchelstown on 3rd July, Mallow on 8th July, and concludes with Bandon on 10th July.

Business owners can register for their local event at www.localenterprise.ie/CorkNorthandWest and www.localenterprise.ie/SouthCork, or contact their Local Enterprise Office directly at northcork@leo.corkcoco.ie, southcork@leo.corkcoco.ie, or westcork@leo.corkcoco.ie.

Additional roadshow dates are planned for autumn, extending the reach of business support across Cork County.
