Cork County Council has issued notice that the L9700 Town Plots in Kinsale will close for the construction of five detached dwellings. Local access will not be maintained throughout the closure.
According to the Cork County Council closure notice, the road will close from 00:01 on Monday 16 November 2026 until 23:59 on Friday 30 April 2027. The notice describes it as a 24-hour closure.
The council states that the closure is to facilitate construction of five detached dwellings and associated site development works, including public road upgrade works on the L-9700-0.
Cork Street and/or Barrack Street, Kinsale, are listed as the alternative routes. The notice states that local access will not be maintained throughout the duration of the closure.
