House Fire Tackled by Multiple Fire Services in Carrigaline
House fire tackled by Carrigaline Fire with support from Crosshaven and Cork City services.

Carrigaline Fire and Rescue responded to what was initially reported as an outdoor fire but quickly discovered a house fire well underway upon arrival. No injuries were reported and the homeowners were confirmed safe.
The incident required a coordinated response from multiple fire services across Cork. Carrigaline Fire Station's crew (CK35) led the response, with backup assistance from neighbouring Crosshaven Fire and Rescue.
Cork City Fire Service also deployed their new aerial platform and additional breathing apparatus personnel (CO11) to support the operation. The multi-agency response highlights the collaborative approach taken by Cork's fire services during serious incidents.
Carrigaline Fire and Rescue praised their crew's efforts throughout the incident:
"The crew here at Carrigaline CK35 put in some serious hard work from start to finish. They played a blinder and we should be so proud to have them serve our community here at carrigaline fire station."
The fire service also acknowledged community support during the lengthy operation. Local residents Dave and Karen Kingston provided refreshments for the emergency crews working at the scene.
Carrigaline Fire and Rescue expressed gratitude for this assistance:
"We would like to say a special thanks to Dave and Karen Kingston for providing us with Tea, coffee and Sandwiches for the crews on the scene which were very much needed and appreciated."
The incident demonstrates both the rapid escalation possible with house fires and the importance of accurate initial reporting. What began as a call for an outdoor fire quickly required a full structural fire response when crews arrived on scene.
The fire service extended their thoughts to the affected homeowners as they begin the recovery process following the incident.
