Glorious Weekend Sunshine to Bathe Ireland in Summer-like Warmth
Sizzling weekend ahead for Ireland with temperatures reaching 24°C!

Ireland is set to bask in glorious sunshine this weekend with temperatures soaring to a delightful 24 degrees Celsius, bringing a welcome taste of summer across the country.
According to Met Éireann's latest forecast, today (Saturday 17th May) will be warm and sunny throughout, with highest temperatures ranging between 21 to 24 degrees. Those near southern coastal areas may experience slightly cooler conditions, but still pleasantly warm, with light to moderate easterly or variable breezes making for perfect outdoor conditions.
The fine spell won't disappear as the sun sets either, with clear skies expected tonight, apart from a few mist patches around dawn. Overnight temperatures will dip to between 3 and 8 degrees in light variable breezes.
The good news for sun-seekers is that Sunday will deliver more of the same, with another warm and sunny day forecast. Temperatures will again reach between 21 to 24 degrees, maintaining the summer-like feel across most of the country.
This delightful sunshine period is set to continue into early next week, though with some modifications. Monday will start mostly sunny before patchy cloud builds through the morning with a few showers possible by afternoon and evening. Despite this, temperatures will remain pleasant at 16 to 22 degrees.
Tuesday follows a similar pattern with a sunny start giving way to afternoon showers, some potentially heavy and thundery, though still reaching 16 to 22 degrees.
Wednesday looks set to maintain the generally warm and dry conditions with variable cloud amounts and sunshine, and temperatures of 19 to 23 degrees for most areas.
The current sunny spell is expected to gradually break down towards the end of next week, as Atlantic westerlies are forecast to return, bringing an increased chance of rain or showers.
For those planning outdoor activities, the UV index will be moderate on both Saturday and Sunday, and the pollen count is also expected to be moderate through the weekend.
This weekend represents an ideal opportunity to enjoy outdoor pursuits before the more unsettled conditions arrive later next week.
