Gardaí have conducted a large-scale search operation targeting organised criminal activity in Cobh, Co. Cork.

The operation, carried out this Friday, 22 May 2026, involved members of the Cork County Crime and Cork County North East Community Engagement Units, assisted by the Armed Support Unit, Dog Unit and other members.

A number of premises, vehicles and individuals were searched. As a result, electronic devices, weapons, vehicles, e-scooters and suspected controlled substances were seized.

All items seized will be subject to further technical and forensic examination. No arrests have been made at this time. Investigations are ongoing.
