Gardaí have seized drugs with an estimated combined street value of over €312,000 following a search at a residence in Carrigtwohill, Co. Cork, with a man in his 20s now charged and due before Midleton District Court this morning.

Gardaí from the Midleton Crime Unit, assisted by the Cork County Divisional Drugs Unit and other regional units, conducted a search under warrant at a domestic residence in Carrigtwohill on Wednesday, 16 September 2026, as part of ongoing operations targeting criminality in the region.

As a result of the search, Gardaí seized over 2 kilograms of suspected cocaine, with an estimated street value of over €200,000. Vacuum-packed quantities of suspected cannabis were also seized, with an estimated street value of over €112,000.

A male in his 20s was arrested at the scene and conveyed to a Garda station in the Cork County Division. He has since been charged and is due to appear before Midleton District Court this morning, Thursday 17 September 2026, at 10:30am.

Investigations are ongoing.
