Gardaí Recover Significant Number of Firearms in Templemichael Woods
An Garda Síochána has confirmed that no arrests have been made at this time, with investigations continuing.
Gardaí have discovered a significant number of firearms during a search of a wooded area at Templemichael, Co. Cork this morning.
Officers from Watergrasshill Garda Station made the discovery whilst conducting a search of the location as part of ongoing investigations into reports of illegal dumping in the area.
The search was carried out on Thursday 4th December 2025, with the firearms find coming as part of what was initially an environmental investigation.
All recovered firearms will now be subject to further technical and ballistic analysis to determine their origin and whether they are linked to any criminal activity.
