Gardaí Investigate Suspected Petrol Bomb Attack on Glanmire Home
Gardaí investigating suspected petrol bomb attack on house in Brooklodge, Glanmire. No injuries, technical examination underway.
Gardaí are investigating after a house was allegedly petrol bombed in Glanmire in the early hours of this morning.
The incident occurred at a property in Brooklodge, Glanmire, at around 4 am on Monday, 12th January 2026.
Emergency services, including Gardaí and fire personnel, responded to the scene. The fire was extinguished before fire service personnel arrived, and no injuries were reported.
According to Paul Byrne, the attack caused minor damage to the property. A crime scene has been established and is being technically examined.
An Garda Síochána confirmed in a statement:
"Gardaí and fire services responded to reports of a fire damage to a residential property in Glanmire, Co Cork shortly after 4 am on Monday, 12th January 2025. The fire was extinguished prior to arrival of fire services personnel and no injuries were reported. Inquiries into the incident are ongoing."
Investigations into the incident continue.
