Gardaí Continue Investigation Into Fatal Incident in Hollyhill
Gardaí appeal for witnesses to fatal incident in Hollyville, Hollyhill early Sunday morning.
Gardaí in Cork are continuing their investigation into the death of a man in his 30s following a disturbance in Hollyhill in the early hours of Sunday morning, 16 November 2025.
Emergency services attended Hollyville, Hollyhill, shortly after 4:30am on Sunday following reports of a disturbance involving two individuals.
A man in his 30s was taken to Cork University Hospital where he was later pronounced deceased. A post-mortem examination has been completed, though the results are not being released for operational reasons.
A man in his 50s continues to be detained under Section 4 of the Criminal Justice Act 1984 at a Garda station in the Cork area.
Investigating Gardaí are appealing for witnesses to come forward. They are particularly interested in speaking with anyone who has camera footage, including dashcam recordings, from the vicinity of Hollyville, Hollyhill, between 3:30am and 4:30am on Sunday morning.
