Gardaí appeal for witnesses after fatal collision at Sarsfield Roundabout, Wilton, yesterday at 1:50pm.

Gardaí are seeking witnesses and dash-cam footage after a man died following a single-vehicle collision at the Sarsfield Roundabout in Wilton yesterday afternoon.

The incident occurred at approximately 1:50pm on Wednesday, 3 December 2025, involving a car at the busy Wilton junction.

The driver, a man aged in his 50s, was taken to Cork University Hospital where he was later pronounced deceased. A post-mortem examination will take place in due course.

The scene was preserved for technical examination by Garda Forensic Collision Investigators, and the road has since reopened to traffic.

Gardaí are appealing to any road users who were travelling in the area between 1:00pm and 2:00pm on Wednesday and may have camera footage, including dash-cam recordings, to make this available to investigating Gardaí.
