Gardaí Appeal for Witnesses Following Death of Man in Bandon
Gardaí investigating death of man in 70s found on Kildarra road, Bandon this morning. Seeking witnesses and dash-cam footage from early hours Saturday.

Gardaí are investigating the circumstances surrounding the death of a man in his 70s who was found unresponsive on a road in the Kildarra area of Bandon early this morning.
The man was discovered shortly before 6:30am on Saturday, 19 July 2025, after Gardaí and emergency services were alerted to the incident. Despite the swift response of emergency personnel, he was pronounced deceased at the scene.
The Coroner has been notified and the deceased has been removed to the mortuary at Cork University Hospital. A post-mortem examination will be arranged, with the outcome determining the direction of the Garda investigation.
Investigating officers are particularly keen to speak with anyone who may have information about a male who was observed cycling on roads in the vicinity of Kildarra during the early hours of Saturday morning.
Gardaí are also appealing to road users who may have been travelling through the area at the time to check any camera footage they may have, including dash-cam recordings, and make it available to investigating officers.
The investigation remains ongoing as Gardaí work to establish the full circumstances surrounding the man's death.
