Gardaí Appeal for Witnesses After Serious E-scooter Collision on Skehard Road

Gardaí are seeking witnesses and dash-cam footage following a serious e-scooter collision on Skehard Road in Blackrock yesterday afternoon that left a man in his twenties hospitalised with significant injuries.

The single vehicle collision occurred on Monday 29th September between 3:30pm and 3:45pm on Skehard Road, between the junctions of Silverdale Drive and Parkhill, in the direction of Mahon.

The e-scooter rider, a male in his twenties, was taken to Cork University Hospital for treatment. His injuries are understood to be serious but not life-threatening at this time.

A technical examination of the collision scene was conducted as part of the ongoing investigation into the incident.

Gardaí at Anglesea Street are now appealing for any witnesses to the collision to come forward. They are particularly interested in speaking with road users who may have camera footage, including dash-cam recordings, from the area between 3:15pm and 3:45pm on Monday afternoon.
