Gardaí Appeal for Witnesses After Fire Damages Ballyphehane Home
Gardaí are appealing for witnesses after a fire caused criminal damage to a home on Clarkes Road, Ballyphehane, Cork city at 6:35am this morning.
Gardaí are appealing for witnesses following a fire that caused criminal damage to a domestic residence in the Ballyphehane area of Cork city in the early hours of this morning.
The incident was reported at a property on Clarkes Road at approximately 6:35am on Monday, 23rd February 2026. Cork Fire Services attended the scene and extinguished the blaze.
Three people were injured as a result of the incident: a male in his 20s, a female child, and a male in his 50s. All three were conveyed to Cork University Hospital for treatment of their injuries.
A technical examination of the scene has since been conducted, and investigations are ongoing.
Gardaí are asking anyone who was in the Clarkes Road area between 6am and 7am this morning and who may have information about the incident to come forward. Those with camera footage, including dash-cam recordings, are urged to make that footage available to investigators.
