Gardaí Appeal for Witnesses After Fatal Incident in Riverstick
Gardaí are appealing for witnesses after a man in his 20s died in an incident in Riverstick yesterday evening.
Gardaí are appealing for witnesses following a fatal incident at a licensed premises in Riverstick, Co. Cork, on Saturday, 4 July 2026.
Gardaí and emergency services responded to the incident shortly after 9:00pm. An adult male, aged in his 20s, was pronounced deceased at the scene. His body has been removed to the mortuary at Cork University Hospital, where a post-mortem examination will take place in due course. The Coroner has been notified.
The scene is currently preserved for technical examination.
Gardaí are appealing for witnesses to this incident to come forward. Anyone with any information, including road users who may have camera footage (including dash-cam), and who were travelling in Riverstick, Co. Cork, between 8:00pm and 9:30pm on Saturday, 4 July 2026, are asked to make this footage available to investigating Gardaí.
