An Garda Síochána is seeking information following the theft of 18 cattle from a farm in the Lakelands area of Skibbereen overnight.
The incident occurred between Sunday 23 November and Monday 24 November 2025, when 12 Friesian heifers and 6 Friesian bulls, all approximately one year old, were taken from a farmyard in the West Cork town.
Gardaí are particularly keen to hear from road users who were travelling between the R637 and R593 roads in the Lakelands area overnight. Anyone with dashcam or other camera footage from that area during the relevant timeframe is asked to make it available to investigating officers.
The theft of livestock remains a serious concern for farming communities across Cork, with cattle representing a significant financial investment for agricultural businesses.
