Gardaí Appeal for Help Finding Missing Ballincollig Teen
  • Gardaí and family members are concerned for the welfare of 16-year-old Zach Verling, who has been missing from his Ballincollig home since Sunday.

An Garda Síochána has issued an urgent appeal for public assistance in locating Zach Verling, who was reported missing from his home in Ballincollig, County Cork, since Sunday, 10th August 2025.

The 16-year-old teenager has now been missing for three days, prompting increased concern from both his family and investigating gardaí at Togher Garda Station.

Zach is described as being approximately 6 feet tall with a slim build. He has black hair and brown eyes. Unfortunately, gardaí have confirmed that it is not known what clothing Zach was wearing when he was last seen, which may make identification more challenging.

The appeal comes as gardaí emphasise their concern for the teenager's well-being, with the search now entering its fourth day. Ballincollig, located just west of Cork city, is a busy suburban area, and gardaí are hopeful that members of the public may have seen Zach in recent days.

Anyone who may have seen Zach or has any information, no matter how insignificant it may seem, is urged to contact Togher Garda Station immediately on (021) 494 7120. Alternatively, information can be provided through the Garda Confidential Line on 1800 666 111, or by contacting any garda station.

Gardaí are particularly appealing to anyone who may have been in the Ballincollig area over the weekend or who may have dashcam footage from the area to come forward.

As the search continues, the local community in Ballincollig and surrounding areas are asked to remain vigilant and to check any outbuildings, sheds, or areas where someone might seek shelter.
