Cork GAA supporters will have the chance to experience the All-Ireland Hurling Championship final atmosphere at home this Sunday, with free tickets for the Rebels' Fanzone becoming available tomorrow morning.
The family-friendly event at SuperValu Páirc Uí Chaoimh will show the Cork versus Tipperary clash on big screens, bringing the excitement of hurling's biggest day to Leeside. Tickets go live at 7:30 AM on Thursday, 17 July through Eventmaster.ie, with a maximum of five tickets per person available.
The alcohol-free event promises entertainment from Cork's RedFM before and after the game, creating a carnival atmosphere for supporters unable to make the journey to the actual final venue. Gates open at 2:00 PM, giving families plenty of time to settle in before the 3:30 PM throw-in.
Cork City Council and Cork GAA have collaborated to ensure the best possible atmosphere at what they describe as "the home of hurling in Cork" as Pat Ryan's team attempts to bring the Liam MacCarthy Cup back to Cork.
Organisers are appealing to supporters to only request tickets if they genuinely plan to attend, given the limited capacity. A ticket transfer and cancellation system will operate until midnight on Saturday, 19 July, allowing supporters to adjust their plans if needed.
The event comes with strict guidelines designed to maintain its family-friendly nature. Under-16s must be accompanied by an adult throughout the event, and comprehensive security measures will be in place. No alcohol is permitted anywhere in or around the stadium, and bag searches will be conducted at all entry points.
Additional restrictions include a ban on bags larger than A4 size, no buggies allowed on the pitch (though buggy parking will be available), and no pyrotechnics of any kind. Supporters are advised that smoking and vaping are prohibited within the stadium.
Supporters planning to attend should note that no parking is available at the ground, with city centre car parks or public transport recommended. The event organisers have also confirmed that a limited number of match programmes will be available for purchase on the day.
With Cork's hurling faithful eager to see their team compete for All-Ireland glory, tomorrow's ticket release is expected to see significant demand from supporters across the county.
