Essential Wastewater Works to Affect Douglas Street This Sunday

Uisce Éireann will carry out essential cleaning works on Douglas Street this Sunday, 08 February, to address intermittent storm and wastewater flooding affecting the area.
The works come after investigative assessments identified a possible blockage within the wastewater network causing the flooding issues on Douglas Street.
Wastewater crews will undertake cleaning operations along the affected section of the network on Sunday to address the issue.
Traffic management will be in place on Douglas Street on Sunday, 08 February 2026, to allow the works to proceed safely and efficiently.
Local and emergency vehicle access will be maintained at all times during the works. Pedestrian access will remain unaffected.
Following completion of the cleaning works, crews will monitor the network to confirm whether the issue has been fully resolved or if additional remedial works are required at a future date.
