Dunnes Stores recalls Plain Tortilla Wraps over metal contamination concerns

Dunnes Stores is recalling specific batches of its Plain Tortilla Wraps after metal pieces were found to be possibly present in the product. Shoppers are being urged to check their packaging immediately.

The recall affects 512g packs of Dunnes Stores Plain Tortilla Wraps with best-before dates of 29 May 2026, 30 May 2026, and 31 May 2026. The wraps were produced in the Netherlands.

The alert, classified as Category 1, was issued today, Friday, 20 March 2026, by the Food Safety Authority of Ireland (FSAI) as Alert Notification 2026.11.

Retailers have been instructed to remove the affected batches from sale immediately and to display recall notices at point-of-sale. Consumers who have purchased the implicated packs are advised not to eat them.

Anyone who has purchased the affected product should check the best-before date on the packaging. If it matches any of the three dates listed, the product should not be consumed.
