Driver Faces Court After Dangerous Motorway Reports on Portlaoise-Fermoy Route
Driver stopped on Portlaoise-Fermoy motorway route after dangerous driving reports. Non-conforming plates also found. Court appearance to follow.
A driver is facing a court appearance for dangerous driving after Gardaí intercepted a vehicle on the Portlaoise to Fermoy motorway route following reports of dangerous behaviour.
Members of the Roads Policing Unit (RPU) Cork County, based in Mitchelstown, stopped the vehicle after reports emerged of a car allegedly undertaking and overtaking at high speeds on the motorway.
On stopping the vehicle, Gardaí also discovered the car was fitted with non-conforming plates, adding to the offences the driver now faces.
The driver is now facing a trip to court for dangerous driving.
