Disaronno Bottles Recalled Due to Possible Glass Fragments

Specific batches of Disaronno Originale are being recalled due to the possible presence of micro-fragments of glass, with retailers across Cork being asked to remove the affected products from sale. With Christmas gift-giving season well underway, consumers are being urged to check any bottles they may have purchased or received as presents.

The recall affects 700ml bottles of Disaronno Originale with batch codes 25371 and 25372. The product carries the EAN code 8001110016303 and originates from Italy.

The Food Safety Authority of Ireland issued the Category 1 alert today, Monday, 08 December 2025, advising consumers not to drink the implicated batches due to the potential health risk posed by glass fragments.

Retailers have been requested to remove the affected batches from sale immediately and display recall notices at point-of-sale locations. The notices will help customers identify whether bottles they have purchased are part of the recall.

Anyone who has purchased or received Disaronno Originale as a gift should check the batch code on their bottle. The batch code can typically be found on the bottle label or base. If the bottle matches either of the recalled batch numbers, it should not be consumed.
