Debris on M8 northbound between Fermoy and Mitchelstown junctions
Take care on approach!

Motorists travelling northbound on the M8 are advised to exercise caution due to debris on the carriageway between Junction 14 (Fermoy North) and Junction 13 (Mitchelstown South).
The hazard, located approximately 3 kilometres north of the Kilworth area, was reported by Transport Infrastructure Ireland at 11:09 this morning. TII traffic controllers are monitoring the situation and have issued safety advice for drivers approaching the affected section.
Drivers are urged to reduce speed when travelling through this stretch of the motorway and remain alert for potential hazards. The debris location places it on one of Cork's busiest commuter routes, particularly for those travelling from Cork to Dublin or the midwest.
Traffic appears to be flowing, albeit with caution, and no significant delays have been reported at this time. However, motorists should allow extra time for their journeys and maintain safe distances from other vehicles.
For real-time updates on this incident and other traffic conditions, drivers can check the TII traffic map at https://maps.traffic.tii.ie/?type=event&id=IRE-25-07-01681.
Anyone who spots debris or other hazards on the motorway network should contact emergency services on 999 or 112 to report the location.
