Cork Toy Run Returns to Support Local Charities This December

Hundreds of bikers will take to Cork's roads on Sunday, 14 December 2025, as the annual Cork Toy Run roars into action in aid of three vital charities supporting children and families across the county.

The festive spectacle, organised by Shamrock Rose MCC, is expected to attract up to 400 motorcyclists who will ride from Cork to Mallow in support of The Children's Leukemia Association, Barnardos, and Cork Penny Dinners.

The convoy will depart NorthPoint Business Park at approximately 1pm, travelling along the New Mallow Road (N20) before taking the R619 exit and finishing at The Arches Bar in Mallow. The route will be marshalled by the Garda Traffic Corps and volunteer motorcycle marshalls, with Fire Brigade trucks from both Cork City and County accompanying the bikers along the way.

Motorists should expect delays on the N20 and R619 between 1pm and 2pm as the procession makes its way north.

Members of the public are welcome to show their support by attending the start or finish points, or by lining the route at safe vantage points. Organisers are encouraging spectators to bring monetary donations or toys, which will be distributed to the three beneficiary charities.

The annual event has become a fixture in Cork's festive calendar, combining the roar of engines with the spirit of giving. All funds and toys collected will go directly to supporting children and families facing difficult circumstances this Christmas.
