Cork Roadworks This Week: 15 Active Road Alerts from Blarney to Douglas, Ballincollig and the N40
Cork City Council has 15 road alerts active this week, with works from Blarney and Ballincollig to Douglas and the city quays. Plan ahead and allow extra time.
Cork City Council's alerts service has confirmed road works at fifteen locations across the city and suburbs this week, with the schedule running from short one-day operations up to a longer scheme on Union Quay listed to continue into late August.
Motorists, cyclists and pedestrians moving through any of these areas are advised to allow additional time and to check the council's alerts page for full detail on the type of works, any lane restrictions, and the diversions in place.
The longest-running item is on Union Quay, where works are listed from Monday 27 April through to Friday 28 August. Works on Frenches Quay, Probes Quay and Bishops Street will run from Monday 27 April to Thursday 7 May.
Two further items, in place since Monday 20 April, continue through to Friday 8 May: St Clares Avenue, and the road next to the Ballincollig GAA pitches.
A larger group of week-long works will run from Monday 27 April to Friday 1 May. These cover Marquee Road, Douglas Road, Douglas Hall Lawn and Well Road, Delford Drive, Station Road in Blarney, and the N28 westbound on-ramp to the N40.
Several shorter items will run for two or three days. Little Hanover Street, Glenheights Park/Road, and Ballincollie Road are all listed from Monday 27 April to Wednesday 29 April. Pouladuff Road is listed for Monday 27 April and Tuesday 28 April, while Lee Road is listed for Monday 27 April only.
Specific details on each scheme, along with maps of the affected locations, are available through the council's official Cork City Alerts service. The full list of road closures and diversions is also published on the Cork City Council website.
