Business Platforms, a leading Cork-based pharmaceutical consulting company, has announced plans to double its workforce by 2028, creating 75 new consulting and engineering positions in a significant vote of confidence for the local economy.
The expansion will see the firm grow from its current team to 150 employees, with all new roles based at the company's Penrose Dock headquarters. Founded in 2019, Business Platforms has rapidly established itself as a trusted partner for global pharmaceutical giants, now supporting over half of the world's top 20 largest pharmaceutical companies.
The company specialises in Manufacturing Execution Systems (MES), serialisation, supply chain operations, and digital transformation services for the pharmaceutical sector. Co-founders Paul Browne, Phillip Doyle, and Liam O'Riordan have built the business into a major player in the highly specialised field of pharmaceutical consulting.
As part of the growth strategy, Business Platforms has appointed Joe Lyons as General Manager, bringing over two decades of pharmaceutical industry experience to the Cork operation. The company plans to expand its office space at Penrose Dock to accommodate the growing team.
