Cork Firm Backs Hollyhill Students with Online Study Platform Sponsorship

A Togher-based company has stepped up to support Leaving Certificate students by sponsoring access to an online revision platform at a northside secondary school.

Water Technology Ltd, a Cork manufacturing and engineering firm specialising in water treatment, hygiene and environmental solutions, has partnered with Terence MacSwiney Community College in Hollyhill to provide 54 senior students with full access to Studyclix, an exam preparation and revision resource.

The company, which employs more than 100 people and operates across the pharmaceutical, dairy, food and municipal sectors both in Ireland and internationally, visited the school to launch the partnership. Representatives took part in a study skills session and spoke with students about career pathways, including apprenticeships and employer-funded further education.

Hazel Cronin, HR Manager at Water Technology Ltd, said:

"We value the importance of education and providing support, structure and encouragement at a young age. We hope that our partnership with Terence MacSwiney Community College will help to empower their students to reach their full potential. The connection with the school is made more meaningful to us as many of our team members are past pupils or the parents of current students."

Phil O'Flynn, Principal of Terence MacSwiney Community College, said:

"Studyclix is an incredibly valuable resource for students and teachers in Terence MacSwiney Community College, supporting effective revision, focused exam preparation and independent learning. We are truly grateful to Water Technology Ltd for their generous sponsorship, which ensures our senior students have full access to such a high-quality learning tool. "We are always delighted to welcome a new partner on board to our 'Sponsor A School Programme'. Water Technology Ltd has been a natural fit, and the students here at Terence MacSwiney Community College are the beneficiaries. By sponsoring a school, companies like Water Technology Ltd give students access to 40,000+ past exam questions, 20,000+ quiz questions, and 3,000+ sample answers and tutorials.
