Cork County Called to Rally Behind Rebels Ahead of All-Ireland Hurling Final
Cork calls on businesses to show their red and white pride as Rebels prepare for All-Ireland Final glory against Tipperary this Sunday at Croke Park.

With just three days to go until Cork takes on Tipperary in the All-Ireland Hurling Final at Croke Park, the entire county is being urged to paint the rebel county red and white in support of Pat Ryan's team.
Cork GAA has launched a county-wide campaign asking clubs, businesses, and communities to "Be The 16th Rebel" as the team prepares for Sunday's 3:30pm showdown. The call comes as Cork seeks to end a 20-year wait for Liam MacCarthy Cup glory, having last claimed the All-Ireland title in 2005.
Both Cork Chamber and the Cork Business Association have thrown their weight behind the campaign, encouraging businesses across the county to display their support visibly. From flying Cork flags to lighting buildings in red, every gesture of support is being welcomed as the team prepares for what promises to be a thrilling Munster derby final.

Naoimh Frawley, Director of People, Operations and Governance at Cork Chamber:
"As the All-Ireland Hurling Final approaches, we're calling on businesses across Cork to get behind the team. Whether it's flying the Cork flag, lighting up your building in red, hanging bunting, or proudly wearing red on the day, every gesture matters. Let's turn Cork red in support of our team."
The business community's enthusiasm is palpable, with local leaders expressing immense pride in the team's achievement in reaching their first final since their heartbreaking defeat to Clare in 2024.
Dave O'Brien, President of Cork Business Association:
"The Cork business community is immensely proud of our senior hurling team as they head into the All-Ireland Hurling final this weekend. The passion, skill, and dedication they've shown all season reflects the very best of Cork. We're all behind Pat Ryan and the team, let's hope they can bring Liam McCarthy back to Leeside. I'd encourage all businesses in the city to put out the Cork colours in support. Corcaigh abú!"
The campaign extends beyond just displaying colours, with clubs and communities encouraged to create short, creative videos showcasing their support for the Rebel hurlers. This grassroots approach aims to demonstrate the county-wide backing that will follow the team to Croke Park on Sunday.
Cork's journey to the final has been anything but straightforward, with the team showing remarkable resilience throughout the Munster Championship before securing their place in the decider with convincing victories in the knockout stages.
The final will be broadcast live on RTÉ2, with throw-in scheduled for 3:30pm. Tickets are distributed through clubs rather than general sale, with thousands of Cork supporters expected to make the journey to Dublin.
As the county prepares for what could be a historic day, the message is clear: every business, every club, and every community has a role to play in supporting the team that carries Cork's hopes to Croke Park.
