Cork Could Be Sitting Pretty as Search for Ireland's Best Public Loo Returns
Cork loos, your moment has arrived: Dyno-Rod is searching for Ireland's next SuperLoo. Entries close Friday 17 July 2026.
Dyno-Rod wants Cork to flush out its finest facilities, as the search begins for Ireland's next SuperLoo champion.
The drainage specialists are on a nationwide hunt for the country's best public toilet, and they're hoping Cork has a contender. Business owners across the county are being urged to put their best bathroom forward, whether it's tucked away in a café, a cinema, a club, a garage, an office or a library.
This isn't just about posh porcelain. Dyno-Rod says the competition celebrates loos with character, charm and high standards, the kind customers remember for all the right reasons.
SuperLoo first launched back in 1992, when the title was won by the Slieve Russell Hotel in Cavan. Now, more than three decades on, the throne is up for grabs once again.
Peter Crowley, Chairman of Dyno-Rod, which was founded over 50 years ago, said the competition has always been close to his heart. He said:
"From decades of Dyno-Rod travelling the country, the toilets at any facility are without a doubt the gauge of customer experience. SuperLoo was created to celebrate the businesses across Ireland that take genuine pride in maintaining tidy, organised, accessible and well-maintained public restrooms. We have worked with almost every type of business for decades to maintain the facilities their customers rely on every single day. SuperLoo is a chance for businesses to highlight their standards at a national level."
Businesses can enter at superloo.ie, where entries will be judged on everything from cleanliness and comfort to hand drying facilities and even toilet paper ply level. Adjudicators will whittle the entries down to a shortlist of ten, before the public gets the final say.
Cork businesses hoping to make a splash have until Friday 17 July 2026 to submit their entries.
