Cork City Set to Host Cruinniú na nÓg 2025: A Free Day of Creativity for Young People
Cork City hosts Cruinniú na nÓg on Saturday 7th June. Over 30 free creative events for young people across the city.

Cork City will transform into a vibrant hub of creativity and youthful expression on Saturday, 7th June, as Cruinniú na nÓg 2025 takes over the city with more than 30 free events.
Under the national theme "Unleash Your Creative Spark," this unique celebration invites children and young people throughout Cork to explore their imagination and try something new. Presented by Cork City Council in partnership with Creative Ireland, Cruinniú na nÓg holds the distinction of being the world's only national day of free creativity dedicated to young people.
The ambitious programme will span venues across the city, including parks, libraries, theatres, arts centres, and digital spaces, showcasing Cork's rich creative community and emphasising the importance of youth-led expression.

Programme Highlights
Rock the Block at Carnegie Courtyard in The City Library will offer a bold musical experience featuring traditional and folk jam sessions, rap and hip hop open mics, beatbox workshops, interactive dance with Tobi, and a headline performance by trailblazer Hazey Haze. This event is presented by Music Generation Cork City, The Kabin Studio, Musical Neighbourhoods and Cork City Libraries.
Youth Theatre Island at The Everyman will bring together four youth theatres from across Ireland, including Activate, UCC, Barnstorm, and Waterford Youth Arts. These groups will perform original works on the Everyman stage, followed by a free taster workshop for ages 12-18, providing a perfect introduction for young people curious about joining a youth theatre.
Circus Picnic at Circus Factory promises a full day of circus entertainment with skills workshops for ages 7-16, a youth showcase, and a popcorn-fuelled film finale. Attendees are encouraged to bring picnic blankets and discover their inner performer.
As part of the Cork Carnival of Science, New Moon Youth Dance will present an original performance in Fitzgerald's Park's Rose Garden. This powerful showcase features bold choreography and movement filled with colour powder, complemented by an inclusive workshop designed to get everyone moving.

For those seeking evening entertainment, RollerDisco at Central Hall in Marina Park will offer a vibrant roller-skating experience with live DJ sets from local talent and demonstrations from Cork Figure Skaters from 7-9pm.
Beyond these headline events, the programme includes a diverse range of activities spanning printmaking, pottery, music bingo, storytelling, creative writing, eco-art, and numerous other hands-on experiences, all designed to ignite creativity in Cork's youngest citizens.
