Cork City Council Launches €6,000 Creative Communities Grant for 2026
Cork City Council opens Creative Communities Grant: up to €6,000 available for local projects.
Cork City Council has opened applications for the 2026 Creative Communities Grant Scheme, offering funding of up to €6,000 to community groups and creative practitioners working on projects that strengthen local connections and inspire artistic expression across the city.
The scheme, now in its fourth year and supported by Creative Ireland, provides two funding levels to accommodate projects of different scales. Level 1 grants range from €1,500 to €3,000 for smaller or pilot initiatives, whilst Level 2 offers up to €6,000 for larger projects with significant reach and impact.
Community groups across Cork City are invited to apply, including schools, youth clubs, neighbourhood associations, and cultural or environmental organisations. Artists and creative practitioners may also submit applications, provided they have active support from a community group.
All projects must demonstrate collaboration and align with at least two priorities from the Cork City Culture & Creativity Strategy 2023-2027, ensuring that funded initiatives contribute to the city's broader cultural vision.
To support potential applicants, Cork City Council will host a free public information webinar on Wednesday, 10 December at 12:00 via Microsoft Teams. The session will cover funding levels, application guidance, and the assessment process, with time allocated for questions.
Applications must be submitted online at corkcity.submit.com/show/402 by Wednesday, 11 February 2026.
Full details and webinar registration are available on Eventbrite. For further information, contact Louise Tangney, Creative Communities Engagement Officer, at louise_tangney@corkcity.ie.
