Cork City Council and Fire Service to Conduct Oil Spill Training Exercise at Kennedy Quay

Cork City Council, in partnership with Cork City Fire Service, will carry out an oil spill deployment exercise at lunchtime today, Wednesday 10 September.

The training forms part of the final sign-off for the city’s Oil Spill Contingency Plan. The exercise will take place in the vicinity of Kennedy Quay and is designed to ensure readiness in the event of a real incident.

Cork City Council confirmed that this is strictly a training exercise and no disruption to the public is expected.
