Cork City FC and the Cork Business Association are calling on businesses across the city to decorate their premises in green, red and white ahead of the club's appearance in the Sports Direct Men's FAI Cup Final on Sunday, 9 November.

The campaign invites businesses to show their support as Cork City FC take on Shamrock Rovers at the Aviva Stadium in Dublin, with a signed 2026 jersey up for grabs for the best decorated premises.

Businesses are encouraged to go all out with their displays, whether that means flying Cork City FC flags, lighting up buildings in the club's colours, or hanging bunting in shop windows. To enter the competition, businesses should post a photo of their decorated premises on social media, tagging both Cork Business Association and Cork City FC with the hashtag #GoingGreen.

The winning business will receive a 2026 Cork City FC home jersey signed by the entire FAI Cup Final squad, a piece of memorabilia that could mark a historic moment for the club.

Anthony O'Sullivan, Commercial Manager at Cork City FC, said:

"We are so proud of the team and management for reaching the FAI Cup Final. A lot of work has gone into reaching the final and we would love it if businesses in the City could show their support for the club by decorating their premises in the City colours of green, red and white. Whether it's flying the Cork City FC flag, lighting up your building in the colours or hanging bunting, every gesture matters. I want to thank everyone for their support so far. We are looking forward to representing Cork in the Aviva very soon."

Dave O'Brien, President of Cork Business Association, echoed the call for citywide support:

"On Sunday 9th of November Cork City Football Club will be flying the flag for Cork when they play in the final of the Sports Direct Men's FAI Cup Final at the Aviva Stadium in Dublin. We would like to do all we can to support the team on this massive achievement and we are calling on businesses in the city to deck out their shops and windows to show their support for the team. We would also like to wish the club and the players and the management team the very best of luck in the final and want them to know we are behind them all the way to the Aviva."

The initiative aims to create a visible show of support throughout Cork City in the run-up to the final, demonstrating the pride and backing the club enjoys from the local business community.

With just over a week to go until the match, businesses have plenty of time to get creative with their displays and vie for the coveted signed jersey.
