Cork Airport Launches New Direct Service to Corfu with TUI
Kalimera! Cork Airport's new TUI flight to Corfu has launched. Enjoy this stunning Greek island every Friday until September. Opa!

Cork Airport has expanded its Mediterranean offerings with the launch of a new weekly TUI service to the Greek island of Corfu. The inaugural flight departed yesterday afternoon with a full complement of passengers, marking the second Greek island destination added to Cork Airport's route network in the past two years.
Prior to boarding, passengers on the first flight were treated to a "taste of Greece" celebration, including Greek-style salads and mini chicken gyros, embracing the "Kalimera" (good morning) greeting to commemorate the occasion.
The new service, which will operate every Friday until 12 September as part of the 2025 Summer Schedule, not only provides direct access to one of Greece's most picturesque holiday destinations but also offers Cork travellers the opportunity to connect with TUI Marella cruise holidays in the Mediterranean departing from Corfu.
Tara Finn, Head of Aviation Business Development & Communications at Cork Airport, highlighted the significance of the route expansion:
"Corfu is a wonderful addition to the ever-expanding route network at Cork Airport. This is our second Greek island destination that has been added in the past two years and it offers, yet again, more choice for consumers from across the South of Ireland."
Charlotte Brenner, Marketing Manager at TUI Ireland, added:
"This new route offers a taste of the Greek Islands and delights for the people of Cork and surrounding counties this Summer. The flight also allows for seamless connections with Marella Cruises' exciting itineraries from Corfu, giving holidaymakers even more of Greece to explore from Cork."
Corfu is renowned for its historic architecture, enchanting towns, lush forests, sandy beaches, and clear blue waters. The island enjoys a warm, Mediterranean climate throughout the year, with average summer temperatures ranging between 28°C and 32°C.
Along with the new Corfu service, TUI will operate three other weekly services from Cork Airport this summer: to Reus (Thursday), Palma de Mallorca (Saturday), and Lanzarote (Sunday).
Cork Airport continues to demonstrate strong growth, having welcomed 3.1 million passengers in 2024 (a 10% increase compared to 2023). The airport offers over 50 routes to the UK and continental Europe and is forecasting continued growth in 2025.
The new TUI Cork to Corfu service now provides travellers from the South of Ireland with direct access to another stunning Mediterranean destination, further cementing Cork Airport's position as the best-connected international airport in the region.
The inaugural Cork-Corfu service takes flight, offering sun-seekers direct access to crystal clear waters and ancient heritage from Cork Airport, with added opportunity to connect with Mediterranean cruises.
