Cork Airport has been chosen as the launch site for this year's Guaranteed Irish Month campaign, with the national initiative calling on consumers across Ireland to support businesses that carry the iconic 'G' symbol throughout March.

The campaign, which kicked off today, Wednesday 4 March 2026, will see the Guaranteed Irish symbol displayed prominently across retail outlets, forecourts, transport hubs, and digital platforms throughout the month.

Research backing the initiative makes for compelling reading. Some 75% of member businesses say holding the licence has contributed positively to their bottom line, while 93% of consumers recognise the symbol as a sign of support for local businesses and communities. Collectively, Guaranteed Irish members support more than 150,000 jobs nationwide and contributed €14.52 billion to the domestic economy in 2025, with combined global revenues of €52.45 billion.

Bríd O'Connell, CEO of Guaranteed Irish, said:

"This year's Guaranteed Irish Month campaign is centred on a clear and powerful message — supporting business that supports Ireland. We are proud to launch this new campaign here at Cork Airport, a gateway that connects Ireland to the world. It is a fitting location to showcase the businesses and people behind the Guaranteed Irish licence, who contribute so much to communities across the country."

She added:

"As travellers pass through the airport this March, we are encouraging everyone to look out for the 'G' and to recognise the impact that choosing Guaranteed Irish members can have on jobs, communities and Ireland's economic future."

The Guaranteed Irish licence is not simply a badge. Businesses must meet strict criteria and demonstrate an ongoing commitment to job creation, community investment and long-term growth in Ireland before the symbol is awarded, a standard in place for more than half a century.

The campaign features David Constant, Head Butcher at SuperValu Togher, which was named SuperValu Store of the Year 2026. A second-generation butcher, Constant has spent more than 20 years serving his local community, and his story is being held up as a symbol of Irish craft and heritage.

Julie Dorel, Head of Communications at Musgrave, said:

"We are delighted to support Guaranteed Irish Month and to see this campaign proudly on display here at Cork Airport. It highlights the people behind our business and the real contribution our retail partners make in towns and cities across Ireland. We encourage customers to keep an eye out for the 'G' in store this March and continue supporting the businesses that support Ireland."

Peter Walsh, Head of Finance and Property at Cork Airport, welcomed the initiative:

"Cork Airport is proud to support Guaranteed Irish Month and to host the launch of this national campaign. As the campaign reaches communities across Ireland, showcasing leading Irish brands such as SuperValu, it serves as a reminder that the Guaranteed Irish licence represents a commitment to supporting local jobs, strengthening communities, and driving Ireland's long-term success."

Throughout March, consumers are encouraged to look for the 'G' symbol at SuperValu, Centra, Petstop, Topline, Homevalue, Applegreen, Original Irish Hotels, DID, Circle K, and a wide range of other retailers.
