Cork Airport Announces New Winter Routes to Prague and Geneva
Cork Airport adds Prague and Geneva to winter schedule. Twice-weekly Prague flights start October, weekly Geneva service begins December.

Cork Airport has unveiled two exciting new European destinations for winter travellers, as Aer Lingus launches services to Prague and Geneva alongside increased flights to Lyon, giving Munster passengers more choice for city breaks and ski holidays.

The new routes will see twice-weekly flights to Prague starting 23rd October 2025, running through to 26th March 2026, operating on Thursdays and Sundays. The Czech capital, known as the "City of a Hundred Spires," offers visitors historic Charles Bridge, Prague Castle, and festive Christmas markets during winter months.
Geneva services begin 20th December 2025, flying weekly on Saturdays until 28th March 2026. The Swiss city provides gateway access to world-class ski resorts including Chamonix, Verbier, and Zermatt, making it ideal for winter sports enthusiasts.
Aer Lingus is also doubling its Lyon frequency to twice weekly from 20th December, with the French city recently featured in Lonely Planet's "13 of the best places to visit in Europe in winter."
Tara Finn, Head of Aviation Business Development & Communications at Cork Airport, said:
"We're thrilled to see the addition of Prague and Geneva to the Cork Airport network, served by Aer Lingus this winter. Both are attractive destinations and will increase the breadth of choice for passengers from across the South of Ireland, choosing the convenience of Cork Airport."
Susanne Carberry, Chief Customer Officer at Aer Lingus, added:
"Aer Lingus' new and extended winter routes from Cork expand our network and offer new winter escape destinations for our customers in the Munster region. Winter breaks or 'coolcations' are growing in popularity among Irish consumers, and we're delighted to respond to this trend by offering greater choice and convenience for seasonal travel across the continent this year."
The airline will continue operating its popular winter sun services to Malaga, Tenerife, and Lanzarote, plus ski services to Munich and regular connections through London Heathrow. Regional services to Bristol and Glasgow will also continue, operated by Emerald Airlines.
Fares for the new Prague and Geneva routes start from €49.99 one way, including taxes and charges. Bookings are available through aerlingus.com.
Cork Airport welcomed 3.1 million passengers in 2024, representing 10% growth, and is forecasting similar expansion in 2025 to reach 3.4 million passengers.
