Coffee House Lates Returns to Cork City Tonight for Third Year

Cork's café culture takes centre stage tonight as Coffee House Lates returns for a third year, with independent coffee houses and restaurants across the city staying open late for two nights of music, poetry, markets and community spirit.
The initiative runs tonight, Thursday 24 September, and continues tomorrow, Friday 25 September, with participating venues open from 6pm to 10pm. Visitors can hop between nearby cafés to build their own trail of events across the city.
Tonight's line-up includes a market and live music at Kino Event House, mocktails and a candlelit pop-up market at Moon Child | Matcha Bar, and live music from local musicians at 115 Café. Alchemy Coffee Cork hosts Seiörs Cave, an evening of poetry, rune stone crafting and conversation, while Don Gregorio serves up tiramisu, coffee and a DJ spinning funk and disco from 8pm, with free tiramisu for the first twenty guests.
Friday's programme continues the theme, with a DJ set and Brazilian tapas at Sabor Braziil, live music from Ivy Favier at SOMA Coffee Company on Tuckey Street, and an evening of music and coffee at The Lough Café. Bakestone Café hosts its Vibes and Verses open mic night, 115 Café welcomes Bandjaxed, and Don Gregorio repeats its tiramisu and DJ set from the night before.
Coffee House Lates was launched in October 2024 to meet demand for alcohol-free evening activities, and is run by the Cork Business Association in partnership with Cork City Council.
