Clonakilty Water Supply Disruption Planned for Tuesday Morning
Clonakilty water disruption Tuesday 8am-12pm.

Residents in Clonakilty and surrounding areas should fill their kettles and water bottles ahead of planned water supply disruptions next Tuesday morning, as Uisce Éireann carries out essential network improvements.
The water utility company will be replacing nearly one kilometre of ageing watermains in the area as part of their National Leakage Reduction Programme, work that will affect supply from 8am until 12pm on Tuesday, 17 June.
Areas expected to experience disruptions include Clonakilty town, Clogheen Road, Clogheen Meadows, Clogheen Heights, Bothar Na Pairc, Clogheen Cottages and surrounding areas. The works target watermains that are particularly prone to bursts, part of ongoing efforts to reduce water loss across the network.
Uisce Éireann spokesperson:
"We acknowledge the inconvenience caused by a planned outage and assure affected customers that crews will complete the works as quickly as possible to restore normal water supply on Tuesday."
Following completion of the repair works, normal water supply typically returns within two to three hours. However, customers living on higher ground or at the end of the water network may experience longer delays before full service is restored.
Vulnerable customers who have registered with Uisce Éireann receive direct communications for planned and unplanned outages lasting more than four hours. All customers can access real-time updates through the Water Supply Updates section on water.ie, follow @IWCare on X (formerly Twitter), or contact the 24/7 customer care helpline on 1800 278 278.
The utility has also launched a free text service providing real-time local updates. Customers can sign up using their Eircode and mobile number at www.water.ie.
