CBC Cork Celebrates Outstanding Leaving Cert Results with Ten Students Achieving Maximum Points

Christian Brothers College Cork has recorded exceptional Leaving Certificate results this morning, with ten students achieving the maximum 625 points and five students securing a remarkable seven H1 grades in their examinations.

The Sidney Hill school saw 149 students receive their results today, with 21 pupils scoring over 600 points in what marks one of the strongest academic performances in the college's recent history. An additional five students were awarded six H1 grades each, highlighting the breadth of academic excellence across the year group.

Principal David Lordon said:

"We are very proud to congratulate our Leaving Cert Class of 2025 on today's exceptional results. The weeks leading up to today have doubtless been a nervous time for everyone, but I'm sure when they logged on this morning to view their results, they felt that all their effort and sacrifice had paid off."

The principal emphasised the collaborative nature of the students' achievements, acknowledging the support network that contributed to their success.

Mr Lordon added:

"This Leaving Certificate experience has very much been a collaborative journey, making today equally meaningful for their families and teachers who have encouraged and mentored them throughout the process. Today marks an exciting time for our students as they look forward to new possibilities and adventures in Third Level and beyond."

The results represent a significant achievement for the Cork school, with the high number of maximum point scores likely to see many students secure places in highly competitive third-level courses across medicine, dentistry, pharmacy, and other sought-after programmes.

For the wider Cork community, the strong performance at CBC adds to what has been a successful year for local schools, with students across the county celebrating their achievements after two years of dedicated preparation.

The Class of 2025 will now turn their attention to CAO offers, which are typically released in the coming weeks, as they prepare for the next chapter of their academic journeys.
