Carrignavar Water Supply Disrupted: Tankers Available from 3pm Today
Water tankers available from 3pm today at Scoil An Athar Tadhg for 600 Carrignavar customers affected by pump station issue.
Uisce Éireann crews are working to resolve a technical issue at Carrignavar Pump Station that may result in low pressure or disrupted water supply for approximately 600 customers in the area, particularly in elevated locations.
Alternative water supplies will become available at 3pm this afternoon, Sunday, 14 December, via bulk tankers positioned outside the old primary school, Scoil An Athar Tadhg, Carrignavar T34 N276.
Customers are advised to bring their own containers when collecting water from the tankers and to boil water before consumption as a precautionary measure.
John Sheahan, Uisce Éireann:
"We understand the inconvenience of an unplanned outage and we thank impacted customers for their support while repair works continue. A team is working at the plant to resolve the issue and every effort is being made to restore a normal water supply as quickly as possible."
