Body Discovered in Doneraile: Gardaí Launch Investigation and Appeal for Witnesses

Gardaí in Mallow have launched an investigation following the discovery of a man's body at Rockview Terrace, Doneraile, in the early hours of this morning, Sunday 12th October 2025.

The man, aged in his 40s, was found deceased at the scene. The Assistant State Pathologist, Dr Margot Bolster, has been contacted to attend the scene where the body remains at this time.

A senior investigating officer has been appointed to lead the investigation, and an incident room has been established at Mallow Garda Station. A family liaison officer has also been assigned to provide support to the family during this difficult time.

The Garda Technical Bureau has been requested to attend the scene as part of the ongoing investigation into the circumstances surrounding the man's death.

Gardaí are appealing for witnesses who may have been in the vicinity of Doneraile village between midnight and 2am this morning to come forward. Investigators are particularly interested in any camera footage, including dashcam recordings, from vehicles that were in the area during this timeframe.
