Ballyvolane Road Resurfacing: Two-Week STOP/GO Works Planned for Ballyhooly Road and Banduff Road
STOP/GO resurfacing works: Ballyhooly Rd (28 Sept–9 Oct) & Banduff Rd (12–23 Oct), 9:30am–4:30pm daily. Local access maintained.
Cork City Council has confirmed resurfacing works as part of the ongoing Ballyvolane Strategic Transport Corridor project, with STOP/GO traffic management in place at two locations over the coming weeks.
Contractors McGinty & O'Shea will carry out the works. On Ballyhooly Road, resurfacing will take place from the area north of the Fox and Hounds junction to Mervue, running Monday 28 September to Friday 9 October, a two-week period, between 9:30am and 4:30pm.
A second phase will follow on Banduff Road, between Brookvale estate and the Old Youghal Road, running Monday 12 October to Friday 23 October, also a two-week period, between 9:30am and 4:30pm.
The council said local access, including pedestrian and cycling access, will be maintained throughout. It apologised in advance for disruption to traffic in the area and thanked residents for their patience while the project is completed.
